The Department of Medical Microbiology & Immunology is in the School of Medicine and Public Health, which supports postdoctoral scholars through the Office of Postdoctoral Studies. This resource was created to enhance the training, mentoring and professional development of postdocs both by utilizing resources here at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and by partnering with national institutions such as the National Postdoctoral Organization. MMI postdocs are invited to participate in career development and social events organized by postdocs through the campus-wide UW-Madison Postdoctoral Association.
MMI postdoctoral positions serve as exceptional stepping stones to various careers in microbiology. If you are interested in an academic faculty position, a research position in industry, or are simply unsure of what microbiology-based career path you wish to follow, please consider a postdoctoral position with an MMI faculty member. MMI faculty are always looking for qualified postdoctoral researchers. If you do not see a position listed here, please enquire directly with the faculty member of interest. Information about the Microbes in Health and Disease Training Grant can be found on the MHDTG website.
